"Public Assistance Programs"

Not all of the programs listed here belongs to Outreach Groups, some of them are offered by private institutions or groups and other programs are governmental, if you have any difficulty applying for a benefit, please contact us and we will do our best to help you; our services are free of charge.





  • To be eligible to receive groceries from food pantries, you will need to call them or check their web site and understand the basic requirement they ask.  These are some samples.
  • There are food pantries where you need to go 30min. before the doors opens because of the long lines.
  • Other places ask you ID and/or Social security Card
  • A short interview to evaluated your situation and help you according to your needs,
  • other places request that you reside in the same zip code where the food pantry is located.

Program Name: Early Head Start and Head Start (birth-5yrs old) This is a free program for the low income families.


Please contact the Early Head Start Counselor at 407-690-8148  to make an appointment, or the others numbers listed bellow. They take applications on Wednesday only on a walk in basis or apply online.

You may qualify to obtain federal assistance, is defined as any federal program, project, service, or activity provided by the federal government that directly assists domestic governments, organizations, or individuals in the areas of education, health, public safety, public welfare and public works among others.

WIC is a nutrition program for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have recently been pregnant, infants & children under age 5.

WIC provides the following at no cost:

  • healthy foods
  • nutrition education and counseling
  • breastfeeding support
  • referrals to health care, immunizations, and community services

Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA)
The TCA program provides cash assistance to families with children under the age of 18 or under age 19 if full time secondary (high school) school students, that meet the technical, income, and asset requirements. The program helps families become self-supporting while allowing children to remain in their own homes. Pregnant women may also receive TCA, either in the third trimester of pregnancy if unable to work, or in the 9th month of pregnancy. Parents, children and minor siblings who live together must apply together.
